Arguably the world's best DJ, Spinna is one of the most in-demand DJs in 3 different genres of music: house (as one of the top producers on the scene, remixing for Atlantic Records, Colombia Records, as well as independent house labels); Hip-Hop (his smash hit "Tribute to Dilla" single with Phonte of Little Brother; member of the Jigmastas; busy as a hip-hop producer his name is on dozens of releases dating back to 1995); and Soul (his "Wonder of Stevie" comp with Bobbito turned a new generation on to the music of Stevie Wonder); his LPs on the BBE label have showcased his amazing soul production touch -- such as his classic remix of Donnie's "Cloud 9" -- his "Wonder-full" party attracted Stevie himself (!!), and he is also the man who created "Soul Slam" -- the Prince vs. Michael Jackson party to end all Prince vs. Michael Jackson parties!). No other DJ (except for perhaps Jazzy Jeff and Kenny Dope) can claim this "Triple Crown" rep amongst the world's DJs -- which is why many consider Spinna to be #1.
